NZX equity market trading value rises
The value of equities traded on NZX markets rose 23.4 percent in April from the same month a year earlier, while the value of debt securities traded fell 6.8 percent.

There were 172 equity securities trading on NZX markets in April, down 3.4 percent on a year ago, and 112 debt securities, down 5.9 percent on the same basis.
NZX markets were used to raise $266 million of capital in April, comprising $215 million of equity securities and $51 million of debt securities.
The market capitalisation of all equities was $59.6 billion in April, while the debt market had a capitalisation of $15.6 billion.
