BlackBerry Classic hits NZ!
BlackBerry, which has recently pinned its comeback hopes on the all-touchscreen Z10, has gone retro with its latest model.
The BlackBerry Classic, featuring a good old fashioned keyboard, will sell through Vodafone for $649.
That's good news for the owner of NBR Towers, who recently showed off his old-school BlackBerry — and told NBR he had two others, still in the box, for when that one died.
Tech specs include an HD (720 x 720) display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, an 8 megapixel rear camera + 2mP front camera, 4G, HD Voice and an actually very tasty 128GB of onboard memory.
BlackBerry claims a physical keyboard can be four times faster than typing on a screen.
And remember, while a tiny screen is well, very 2000s, it also means multi-day battery life. Maybe our landlord's onto something ...
