Capital Letter: Police vetting for real estate agents?

The Registrar of the Real Estate Agents Authority may not require agents to submit to full police vetting or demand that, unless applicants do so, she will reject their applications for want of information or hold their refusal against them.

That ruling came from Court of Appeal Justices Forrest Miller, Murray Gilbert and Sarah Katz in Real Estate Agents Authority v Luke Domb.

Mr Domb, a licensed agent, believed the Registrar had overstepped her authority by insisting on police vetting where the legislation says nothing about vetting.
