Annual trade deficit narrows to $5b in October

Dairy and meat exports rise in volume and value.

Rising exports and falling imports continue to reduce the goods trade deficit.

In October, exports rose $206 million, or 4.3%, to $5.0 billion while imports fell $86m, or 1.4%, to $6.0b, reducing the monthly deficit to $1.0b.
