Boeing goes supersonic
Boeing has plunged into the niche area of supersonic aircraft development by taking a  “significant investment” in Aerion, a startup founded by Texas billionaire Robert Bass. Boeing will replace Lockheed Martin, which had announced a partnership with Aerion in 2017.
