Cash flows in but Xero loss widens

Chief executive describes result as 'strong,' shares gain

Higher debt costs drove an increased loss for accounting software company Xero in the year to March, countering the benefits of revenue and subscriber growth.

In an announcement to the ASX, Xero said its net loss was $27.1 million, a deterioration on its $24.9m loss a year earlier.
