Clarity hires chief investment officer

Investment Services Group unit sees growth opportunity.

Fri, 12 Apr 2019

Clarity Funds Management has appointed Josh Wilson as chief investment officer.

Mr Wilson, a CFA charterholder, was previously at NZ Funds Management, where he was portfolio manager for Australasian equities for eight years.

Clarity, which manages six investment funds for high net worth individuals, families and charities, is a subsidiary of Investment Services Group (ISG), which also includes Devon Funds, JMI Wealth and Select Wealth.

The overall group has about $5.4 billion under management.

ISG chief executive Richard O’Brien said Clarity had experienced significant growth and now has about $500 million in client funds under management.

“We felt that now was the right time to bring a senior investment professional into Clarity, to both assume overall responsibility for our existing investment strategies and to focus on our growth opportunities with new strategies.”
