Fear of cannabis in meat prompts govt ban

A Rotorua-based hemp business claims it is on the brink of bankruptcy, after being ordered to stop producing animal feed.

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) issued a prohibition notice on NZ Hemp Brokers because of concerns its feed might contain traces of cannabis-related drugs.
