FMA targets KiwiSaver fees as members and funds grow

Default fund membership declined 3% in the latest year

KiwiSaver is now very big business.

The latest Financial Markets Authority’s annual report on how the retirement savings scheme is travelling shows that total fees charged in the year ended March were $447.7 million as assets invested jumped 19% to $48.6 billion.
