High Court rescues Farmers’ $2.8m employee assets

Retailer Farmers Trading Company has been given the green light to vest $2.8 million worth of trust assets into an incorporated society set up last year to benefit its 4098 employees.

The company was forced to seek orders from the High Court after the trust, established by Farmers’ founder
