Kathmandu ramps up US focus

“Nobody’s waiting for us," chief executive admits on US launch.

Kathmandu Holdings is ramping up its entry into the US, leveraging off its acquisition of a footwear company.

The retailer reported a net profit of $50.5 million in the 12 months to July 31, up 33% on the year earlier. It had signalled late June profit would be between $48m-52m.
