Local authorities under scrutiny in RMA review

Councils need to be properly resourced to administer the RMA.

Environment Minister David Parker has signalled more pressure will go on local authorities to properly enforce planning regulations.

Parker said the review of the Resource Management Act, which he announced yesterday, would consider the role of district and regional councils.
