Merchant bank confirms Vector approach

A proposal to sell part of Vector’s Auckland electricity network to an outside investor is believed to have been developed by an investment bank.

The aim of the scheme would be to release capital for Auckland Council, Entrust’s capital beneficiary under its trust deed.
