Net migration gain in August falls to lowest level in three years

The net outflow to Australia gathers steam and annual net migration continues to ease from the record high of July 2017. Meanwhile, visitor numbers rise at a 5.4% annual rate.

Annual net migration in August fell to its lowest level for that month in three years, new Statistics NZ figures show.

However, visitor numbers for the month were up 5.4% on a year ago.
