NZ drops to third as world's most competitive tax system

The drop follows lack of tax changes since 2010.

The former National-led government's tax cuts propelled New Zealand to second in the International Tax Competitiveness Index but that has now dropped to third in the just-released 2018 update.

The overall ranking is headed by two post-communist Baltic republics, Estonia and Latvia, with ratings
