Regions face export squeeze – Westpac report

Auckland and Canterbury likely to close economic gap.

A new study of regional economies shows the smaller, more export-focused ones are still outperforming Auckland and Canterbury. However, Westpac chief economist Dominick Stephens says the latest Regional Roundup report shows the gap is closing.
