Reserve Bank cuts OCR to lowest rate in NZ history

UPDATED: Monetary policy committee worried by global slowdown.

Reserve Bank governor Adrian Orr says while the OCR is now at 1.5% the bank still has plenty of scope to respond if economic conditions worsen.

He says the bank has also been looking at scenarios to determine how it would manage monetary policy if the OCR ever fell to zero.
