Supreme Court says LPF Group can help in class action appeal

Court grants the litigation funder leave to intervene in Christchurch earthquake ‘opt-out’ representative claim.

The Supreme Court has allowed litigation funder LPF Group to have its say in an upcoming precedent-setting hearing over the way class action suits get the go-ahead. 

Next week, the country’s highest court is set to hear an appeal by government insurer Southern Response Earthquake Services
