Transpower confirms general manager, grid service delivery

Mark Ryall has been appointed as general manager, grid service delivery at Transpower, effective from today. His appointment is confirmed after acting in the role for three months.

“The board and I are delighted to confirm Mark Ryall’s appointment as general manager, grid service delivery”, says Alison Andrew, chief executive. “The appointment is a great outcome for Mark and for Transpower, after an extensive search and a robust recruitment process, Mark was clearly the standout candidate.”

Mr Ryall has been with Transpower for almost 12 years, working in a variety of roles. His most recent one has been driving business change programme using digital technologies to deliver operational expenditure efficiencies.

His role as general manager, grid service delivery will see him responsible for HVDC and power electronics, operational engineering and regional services management.

“Mark brings a wealth of experience to the role, is comfortable with ambiguity as we face a rapidly changing energy sector, and is an experienced people manager with a sound understanding of how technology will enable our business in the future. I look forward to working with Mark in his new role”, says Ms Andrew.
