Westpac NZ the latest bank to report a big profit
Westpac has had a strong year for lending and deposit growth.

Westpac New Zealand has reported a statutory net profit of $936 million for the 12 months to September 30, a 3% rise on last year [$909m] due to strong deposit and lending growth.
Meanwhile, the bank's preferred measure, “cash earnings,” rose 5% to $1.01 billion.
