Telecom, which is splitting in two, said its mobile revenue grew by 5% in the second half but total mobile subscribers fell by 95,000.
The decline in subscribers widens the gap between Telecom and its rival Vodafone. Click here for the previous mobile standings.
Telecom said the decline was predominantly made up of “low value pre-paid” CDMA customers going active.
“This trend has had minimal impact on revenues and is likely to continue as we move closer to the close down of the old CDMA network, the company said in announcing its full year result today.
“We remain on track to shut down CDMA by July 2012,” chief executive Paul Reynolds said.
