New Zealand’s leading cost consultancy firm, White Associates, has appointed Andrew Newlands as its new Company Principal.
The move comes in the face of an ever advancing construction landscape which has seen the industry hit record levels of activity. A report recently released by the government revealed the NZ trade industry will need about 50,000 more workers by 2021 to meet the demands of the $200 billion building boom.
The Company Board believe Mr Newlands’ wealth of experience makes him well placed to help the current leadership team navigate the current environment and grow the business.
White Associates Director Graham White says Newlands is part of the company’s long-term vision.
“To maintain our position as an industry leader and for our business to grow we need to have the most talented and dedicated people in leadership positions in order to provide our clients with the highest possible level of service and this appointment does just that”.
Mr Newlands’ promotion comes on the back of having expertly managed the firm’s bank funding department since joining the organisation in October 2014. In his new role he will continue to focus on the management of bank funding operations.
“Andrew has proven himself to be fantastic at what he does and is a dedicated and highly capable leader. He’s highly respected within the company and the industry and will make an excellent addition to our principal leadership team,” says White.
Mr Newlands will work alongside fellow Company Principals Justin Maritz and Zoe Bashforth - providing the ideal platform to cater to current and long-term industry needs.
“This appointment personifies the growth potential of this company and sends a clear message, both internally and externally, of the direction we are headed,” concludes White.
