Auckland's $460m bet on a low emission maritime future

City transport agency has allocated as much as 10% of its overall capital spend over the next decade to upgrading its aging ferry fleet, which accounts for 20% of all public transport emissions.

EV Maritime says the first of Auckland’s four electrically powered ferries is on track for delivery in December. The second is due to be floated next March.
