Brent Melville

Brent joined the NBR in May 2024 after four-years with BusinessDesk split across Auckland and Queenstown, focused on property, infrastructure and tourism.  His career has spanned several decades across corporate communications and investor relations for a number of listed companies.

He provided markets analysis for the Times Media group in Johannesburg in the 1990s and also taken on the arduous role of editing start up publication The Golfer, subsequently bought by TML.

A stint with the Otago Daily Times from 2018-2020 marked his return to fully fledged business journalism.
