15 new appointments at Chapman Tripp

Chapman Tripp is pleased to announce the promotion of 12 senior associates across our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch offices, and to welcome a new senior associate in the Auckland office. The firm has also recently welcomed two new senior legal advisors* to its tax and competition & regulatory teams.

Colin Fife, Competition & regulatory
Colin specialises in competition law and regulatory matters. He also advises on commercial disputes. Colin has experience in all aspects of New Zealand trade practices law, with a particular focus on merger clearances, consumer protection, and regulatory litigation and enforcement.  

Lauren Curtayne, Corporate
Lauren specialises in major projects and commercial law. She has experience across a broad range of sectors, with an emphasis on energy, infrastructure and technology.

Greer Fredricson, Corporate
Greer specialises in corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on structuring, regulatory and general commercial advice for private equity clients and iwi entities, including Overseas Investment Act compliance.

Jeremy Gray, Corporate
Jeremy specialises in corporate and commercial law, focusing on equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture capital.

Prue Tyler, Financial services
Prue advises on a wide range of legal and compliance matters affecting financial service providers and their investment products, particularly KiwiSaver and unit trusts. 

Laura Fraser, Litigation
Laura specialises in the conduct of complex commercial litigation. She advises clients on a broad range of disputes, including corporate and regulatory matters, professional negligence claims and general contract and tort issues. 

Chris Green, Property
Chris specialises in property and construction law. He advises on commercial leasing matters, the acquisition and disposal of real estate and drafting and negotiating construction contracts for commercial and infrastructure developments.

Jill Gregory, Resource management
Jill specialises in environmental, resource management and public law. She assists clients with resource consent applications, designations and plan change processes. 

Simon Akozu, Tax

Simon advises clients on a wide range of tax matters, with a particular focus on financing and property transactions.  

Jai Nario, Tax

Jai advises clients on a wide range of tax matters including mergers and acquisitions (structuring, due diligence and SPA negotiations), cross-border investments and tax disputes and refinancing.

Lucy Hare, Competition & regulatory
Lucy specialises in competition law. She advises domestic and international clients on merger clearance and antitrust issues including cartel enforcement matters. 

Shalindri Silva, Finance
Shalindri specialises in corporate finance law and advises clients in relation to debt programmes, bank financing and other issues. She also advises clients on commercial law and various regulatory matters.

Christchurch
Nick Letham, Corporate

Nick specialises in corporate and commercial law, with particular interest in securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate compliance. He has particular specialisation in the rural sector and retirement village industry.
