New Zealand’s largest travel insurance provider Allianz Worldwide Partners is adding more personnel to its local team as part of its ongoing commitment to maintain a high level of support for corporate and retail travel partners.

Overseeing these appointments, Allianz Worldwide Partners chief sales officer Will Ashcroft says “This has been an incredible year and must be one of the busiest on record for Kiwis heading overseas. We strive to provide a high level of service to all our travel partners and in turn provide peace of mind to Kiwi travellers. Our new appointments will help to further increase our support to partners.”

New Account Manager – Bronwyn Thornton-Hume
The latest appointment to the team is Bronwyn Thornton-Hume, who has taken up an account manager position in November. Working in emergency assistance for two years, most recently specialising in client services and medical case handling, Bronwyn is well placed to provide advice on the importance of travel insurance.

Her role is aimed at increasing business growth for retail travel agents across the country which she will do through face to face meetings with travel agents, sales support and instore product training.

She says, “I’m incredibly excited to be part of this team, and I look forward to building strong working relationships with our partners and sharing my knowledge of the travel insurance industry with others.”

New Marketing Manager – Amy Neilson
Amy Neilson has joined the team as marketing manager to provide added marketing support to partners. Ms Neilson, who has recently moved to New Zealand from the UK, will be using her extensive experience in travel to support key partners on travel insurance marketing strategies.

Her responsibilities will include end to end marketing support, developing and implementing marketing strategies, campaign design and recommendations to support all lines of business.

Ms Neilson says, “Only a few weeks in, following a move from the UK and I’m already enjoying my time here. I look forward to applying the knowledge I’ve gained from my time in travel to working with the company’s brilliant partners, helping them engage their customers and ultimately achieve their commercial goals.”

These new team members form part of the company’s broader talent acquisition strategy that includes adding an additional 14 positions across sales and operations.
