Racing was abandoned on San Francisco Bay today after an on-off day due to stormy weather.
Earlier, America's Cup officials delayed racing for at least an hour until wind conditions reverted to westerly after a southerly front made sailing impossible.
The time was then put back to 9.30am and then 9.40am, the limit for when the race must start or be abandoned for the day.
Winds abated to around 14 knots after the southerly passed but had not suffiently changed direction to allow racing.
Emirates Team New Zealand leads the series by eight races to Oracle Team USA's three, with just one win between New Zealand and the cup.
Racing resumes tomorrow.
