Emma Monsellier has recently joined Davenports Harbour as our newest Senior Associate, primarily developing the employment practice from both contentious and non-contentious angles. With her commercial litigation background and versatility, Emma is also helping out the commercial team.
Emma's background in commercial litigation involved issues such as shareholder disputes, trust litigation, professional negligence claims and breach of contracts. Her most recent role before joining Davenports was Head of Employment at a firm based in the Channel Islands, where she dealt with both contentious and non-contentious employment work.
Emma is also part of the Employment Law Association in the UK and assisted with recent developments in employment law, discrimination, and mental health issues in the workplace.
With her husband and 6 year old daughter, Emma moved to New Zealand from the Channel Islands and is now settling back into New Zealand life. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, long walks on the beach and reading.
Emma is also learning how to speak French and would like to combine her reading and understanding abilities of the language from her work in the Channel Islands with some expert dialogue!
