Fitch Ratings agency has upgraded two of its ratings for the ANZ National Bank.
The outlook for both its long-term foreign currency rating and long term local currency rating has been revised from AA-, outlook stable, to AA-, outlook positive.
Fitch also revised the outlook on the group's long-term issuer default rating to AA-, outlook positive, from AA-, outlook stable.
"The ratings of ANZ, including the change in outlook, take into account the group's improved earnings diversity following the full acquisition of its wealth management operations, the potential diversification benefits provided by the Asian expansion strategy and its generally improved financial profile," Fitch said.
