Synovate NZ has appointed Adi Staite executive research director. For the past four years he has run and operated his own planning and research consultancy, Bamboo NZ. Mr Staite’s previous senior roles include working for Colenso and Blackwood King (now BCG2).
Arthritis New Zealand has elected Alan Henwood president. He is a director of Wellington law firm Stephens Lawyers. Along with representing various charitable organisations, Mr Henwood has also been the honorary solicitor for the Wellington Night Shelter Trust.
CPA Australia has appointed Richard Kingas its New Zealand business development manager. Mr King has previously worked with Christchurch earthquake victims as a client manager for the Home Owners and Buyers Association as well as working at SH Lock and South Canterbury Finance.
The Building Intelligence Group has appointed Byron Roff sector development manager as well as project director for the Wellington office. Mr Roff was previously project director for the Wellington City Council Social Housing Upgrade project.
Theodore Zornhas been appointed to head Massey University’s College of Business, based at the Albany campus beginning next year. He is head of the Department of Management Communication at the University of Waikato.
Blue Star Group Holdings has appointed former Unitas Capital managing director Philip Bower as chief executive. Mr Bower has previously worked at Goodman Fielder and MCK Group.
GFG Group has appointed Kim de Moor operations manager, based in Auckland. Mr de Moor was previously director of software development at communications company Zeacom.
Cleve Cameronhas been appointed creative director at JWT New Zealand. Mr Cameron will take responsibility for all creative output from JWT’s New Zealand office.
The board of the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute (Te Puia) has appointed Tim Cossar chief executive. Mr Cossar is chief executive at Tourism Industry Association.
Kenexa has recently appointed Sanchia Yonge managing director for its John Robertson & Associates (JRA) operation in New Zealand. Before joining Kenexa, Ms Yonge was on the global management team of Great Place to Work Institute.
BNZ has appointed Craig Herbison chief marketing officer, Shelley Ruha director – products and operations, Renée Roberts as chief risk officer and Paul Suma as general manager office of the chief executive. Mr Herbison will oversee the bank’s brand and marketing function. Ms Ruha will head up a team of over 700 people. Ms Roberts previously worked with National Australia Bank. Mr Suma was previously with NAB Private Wealth.
