The operator of Auckland Airport said it was presently conducting a roadshow in the US to investigate the possibility of an issue of notes in the private placement market.
If a placement takes place, it will be used to refinance debt maturing in March 2011.
Private placements are when securities are sold to small numbers of private investors without a formal public offering.
