Today Auckland Council CEO, Stephen Town, announced the appointment of Christine Etherington as the new Director of People and Capability.
Today Auckland Council CEO, Stephen Town, announced the appointment of Christine Etherington as the new Director of People and Capability.
With a strong career in HR, Christine joins the council from her current role as Director of Strategic Human Resources at Auckland District Health Board.
Stephen Town says “Auckland Council’s greatest strength is its people. Building a strong and positive culture at council is one of my priorities. Christine brings a combination of excellent leadership, a great deal of HR experience and good understanding of big public sector organisations. She will have an important role to play in helping reach this goal.”
Christine has previous experience in executive HR roles with Ministry of Social Development, Ford Motor Company Ltd and Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd in London.
