Aussie investment firm fined $52,000 over ‘false’ claims

Penta Capital’s website made false claims about its assets, affiliations, and history, according to ASIC.

If Penta failes to pay the remaining instalments, ASIC could begin civil proceedings.

An investment company that claimed to be managing A$6.9 billion for its clients in addition to holding A$350 million in assets under management has been fined by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, which alleges the company’s claims were false.
