Australia announces 2035 emissions reduction target of 62-70%
The government says committing to the target and early action will boost the economy.
Earlier in the week the Government announced a A$1.1b investment in biofuels.
Australia has set an ambitious 2035 target of reducing its carbon emissions by between 62% and 70% of its 2005 levels on the path to Net Zero by 2050.
