Australia extends life of biggest coal-fired plant

The life of Australia’s biggest coal-fired power station, the Eraring facility north of Sydney, has been extended by another two years to support the national energy supply.
Eraring, which is operated by ASX-listed Origin Energy, had been due to close in August 2027 but that will now be extended
