Carl’s Jr Aussie stores to close
The chain had ambitions to roll out 300 stores throughout Australia, but has been hit by tough competition and consumer spending cutbacks
About 25 stores operated by licensees are unaffected by the closure.
The Carl’s Jr burger chain in Australia has appointed KPMG as administrator for 24 stores.
Stores in regional areas of Victoria, NSW and Queensland have been closed and hundreds of jobs will go after the CJ’s Group, a local licensee of the US parent, called time on its directly owned Australian
