Doha strip searches the 'context' for rejecting Qatar flights
Rejection of Qatar's request for more flights into Australia may be more diplomatic than economic.
Qatar Airways wanted another 28 flights per week into Australia.
Australia’s Transport Minister has been accused of protecting Qantas in her decision to deny Qatar Airways more flights, but it emerged today that the decision may also have been motivated by Government anger over the strip searching of Australian women at Doha Airport.
