Helloworld makes A$353m bid for Webjet
Webjet turned down a private equity offer earlier this year, but is allowing Helloworld to conduct due diligence.
Webjet shares have fallen sharply over the past week after the company’s underwhelming profit result.
ASX-listed travel agency Helloworld Travel has made an A$353m ($406m) offer for ASX-listed flight booking platform Webjet.
The companies informed the ASX this morning that Helloworld had made an unsolicited bid for Webjet, offering A90 cents a share for the company.
