RBA cuts rates as Australia switches to election mode

As expected, the RBA today cut rates for the first time in four years.

The Reserve Bank of Australia today delivered a long-awaited interest rate cut but is still unconvinced the battle against inflation has been won.

The bank has cut rates by 25 basis points to 4.10%, the first cut since the RBA began hiking rates from the pandemic period low of 0.1% in May 2022.
