New Reserve Bank Governor Dr Anna Breman passed her first audition this week when she presented the bank’s February Monetary Policy Statement.

As expected, the official cash rate stayed unchanged at 2.25%. It is likely to stay there for some time, after multiple cuts last year to shock the economy
