BNZ-Virgin business challenge finalists announced

Ten finalists have been announced in the next step towards finding New Zealand’s best entrepreneurial talent for The Virgin Business Challenge presented by BNZ.

Auckland dominates with nine out of ten businesses selected for the final prize being Auckland based.

The top business will be selected to win a hefty prize pack, which includes $100,000 cash and time with Sir Richard Branson, if they can prove their ideas to take their business global are of significant value.

A final step for selected business owners will see them pitching their ideas live to a Dragon’s Den style judging panel.

Among the ten finalists are New Zealand businesses FaceMe Ltd, 1Above, Rocket Lab, MiniMonos Ltd, Konnect Net Ltd, PowerbyProxi Ltd, WilliamsWarn Ltd, Sonar6, KlickEx Corporation Ltd, and The Collective.

The winner of this competition will be announced at an awards ceremony in Auckland on December 15. The competition was launched during Sir Richard's New Zealand visit in October.
