Reserve Bank Governor Alan Bollard is giving an on-the-record speech on the topic of monetary policy on Friday.
The speech entitled: The crisis and monetary policy: what we learned and where we are going is to the Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce at 1pm.
BNZ Research said today it expected Dr Bollard to be requisitely boring at Thursday's official cash review announcement. The speech on Friday would be an opportunity for him to flesh out the mere paragraphs he had at his disposal at Thursday's announcement.
Economic statistics have not been materially different to the central bank's expectations.
