Businesses hoped for more in Budget ’23

The butter gets spread thinly – with only crusts for businesses, according to business lobby.

Prime Minister Chris Hipkins and Finance Minister Grant Robertson yesterday.

Businesses have been left with bread crusts following Grant Robertson’s sixth ‘no frills’ Budget. 

EMA chief executive Brett O’Riley thought the Budget spread the butter “pretty thinly” across the bread of the economy, with businesses nibbling on the crusts.
