Wafer thin surplus forecast for 2028-29

Changing pay equity legislation is expected to save the Government about $2.7 billion a year.

Those savings were outlined in the Budget today, with Finance Minister Nicola Willis saying the money was being used on other priorities in health, education and law and order.
