Briscoe's profit dips while sales rise

It could be facing further headwind with two "epic" retailers expected to arrive in NZ.

Briscoe Group saw its bottom line drop by $600,000 for the quarter ending in April 28, 2019, compared with a year earlier. 

Managing director Rod Duke said the drop was a result of increased wage costs and competitive pressures leading to tight profit margins.
