Government ‘nervous’ on Tamarind insolvency

UPDATE: Energy Minister Megan Woods has voiced concern that taxpayers could be left on the hook if Tamarind Taranaki cannot meet its commitments to decommission and plug its offshore wells.
The oil company, which operates the Tui field 50km off Taranaki, appointed administrators on Monday.
