Japan’s Obayashi buys into Eastland Generation

Capital raised from sale of 50% stake will be invested in new generation assets.

Trust-owned infrastructure company Eastland Group has sold a half share of its electricity generation business to Japanese construction conglomerate Obayashi Corporation.

Capital raised from the transaction will help fund construction of new generation assets, including the TOPP2 geothermal
