Iwi organisation Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi-Ō-Ngāpuhi staved off a potential restructure this week, thanks to a $2.5 million payout from its fully-owned subsidiary, the Ngāpuhi Asset Holding Company.

This company typically distributed $2.3m in dividends to the rūnanga but had allocated only $1.4m this
