The recovery follows a drop of seven places in 2018.

New Zealand has regained some lost ground in the latest IMD rankings of world competitiveness.
The Swiss-based business school assesses 63 economies on 235 indicators ranging from “hard” statistics such as unemployment, GDP and government spending on health and education to “soft” data
