NZ’s biggest free-range egg farm to follow $79m land deal
OIO approves sale and leaseback of 651.7ha by egg farmer Indus Valley.
The buyer plans to fund development of New Zealand's largest free-range egg farm at Huirimu in the Waikato.
The Overseas Investment Office has approved a $78.9 million land sale and leaseback deal by subsidiaries of egg farmer Indus Valley, allowing repayment of bank debts after a breach of covenants.
Details of the transaction were provided in an update from the OIO showing the sale involved nine parcels
